Special Kheer Recipe
Now, we are going to discuss one of the tastiest and sweetish dishes of Pakistan which is Kheer Recipe. You know its popularity in Pakistan is that, at every event, this is the necessary dish. In fact, on Eid ul Fitr we cook it because on sweet Eid it fills our hearts with sweetness. When all relatives and friends share Kheer with each other they feel that all envies are released from the heart.
Here is the most simple and easy method to cook kheer. All things used to cook this are those which are available at your home or easily can get from near stores.
Ingredients for Kheer Recipe
- 2 Litre milk.
- 1 cup rice.
- Cardamon powder is about 1 tablespoon.
- Condensed milk which gives a sweet taste to kheer about 80 to 100 grams if not available then uses sugar about 100 grams.
- Dry fruits including almonds, Raisins (kishmish), Cashew nuts ( Kaju), and Pistachio ( Pista ) should be crushed.
- Khoya ( curd) is about 70 to 80 grams.
Method to cook kheer
1) Take one cup of rice. Soak them in water for half hour.
2) Take 2 litre of milk. If you want to make tasty kheer then never use a milk pack. You should use cow’s milk.
3) Take a frying pan. Put the frying pan on fire. Add milk to it.
Then add rice to that milk. You can also use boiled rice but in that case, you cannot soak rice for half hour before adding the milk. Then just soak for 5 minutes then boil and add.
4) Then shake gently. While shaking add one tablespoon of cardamon powder.
5) Then add 80 to 100 grams of condensed milk instead of sugar. If not available then add 100-gram sugar.
6) Add Kishmish and some crushed almonds and coconut and shake it.
7) Then add Khoya about 70 to 80 grams.
8) Now put off the frying pan from the fire. Your kheer is ready.
9) Before serving it, spread some dry fruits upon it, most commonly crushed almonds, coconut and pistachio are used.
