Cyberpunk Edgerunners Anime Series – Review

by Usman Ali

If we look at Cyberpunk 2077 then in a seven-minute cutscene the criminal underworld was explored. While now in the Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Five episodes are taken by David Martinez to fully break it bad. That time gives creator Rafał Jaki and Studio Trigger breathing room to explore all the broken dreams and the night city of its all inhabitants in a fully exhilarating 9-episode complete series that makes a fully strong and real base argument that CDPR is going to build something very solid for the future to build something interesting in these Cyberpunk stories.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners is the upgraded version of CDPR’s Cyberpunk 2077. It resembles the same version of RPG tabletop that was created only by Mike Pondsmith. The Complete designs and locations are matching with the ones you see in that video game, but If we compare the story then it is fully focused on a new set of stories and characters. In short, We recommend you to not expect to see Johnny Silverhand and V in the anime anymore.

David Martinez is followed by Edgerunners, He is an academically good student even by the wages of his single mother, but his talent can’t be supported especially in the dark night where it requires more effort.

In the story, David’s luck only changes when he meets a netrunner who was mysterious. Their names were the falls and Lucy in with a mercenary and loveable group. who was led by the armed — Maine and strong-willed. He begins his journey into Night City to become a mercenary.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners is at its best of Night City when the various elements and the hostile life cycle are explored

If we see the V’s mercenary adventures. They are quietly hijacked when their mind and also their bodies become a living space for David, Keanu Reeves snf Johnny Silverhand. Their storyline is fully focused on all the criminal elements of the City of Nigh.

Edgerunners is at best if the hostile cycle of the night city will ex explored because it’s an interesting factor for the audience, especially seen in the way mercenaries commit crimes and street gangs do something.

If we Visually Compare, the story is enhanced by using Studio Trigger, a leader in expressive anime extras. Where the most popular cyberpunk anime such as Ghost in the dark Shell and also Akira focus on fully detailed structure. A cyberpunk anime has never looked more alive when Studio Trigger filtered Night City through the same lens that was created by fully stylized works like Space Patrol Luluco and Kill la Kill.

Still, there is some drawback here: There were some characters that were at the centre of Edgerunners and were worthy of investing, But they get lost in the series too soon’ that should be focused to explore more sides of Night City. Same as there are a lot of characters who enter the picture without their proper introduction. Luckily, The main role Lucy and David get a chance to be at a full story.

If we talk about cyberpunk then it is more about the night city than focus on character, while the Edgerunners are able to zero in on the time and also the life of a Night City mercenary that was due to some key characters that were only trying to live their life in Night city.

The Verdict

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a spinoff of cyberpunk 2077 and is animated series which tells a story as a standalone, It is basically a 10-episode story that is all about a street kid who is trying to survive in body modification and technology. He is losing everything, But to be an edge runner he chooses to stay alive– The world of Cyberpunk to life by the Edgerunners with a vibrant style, signature, and also the original score that is composed by only Akira Yamaoka.
