So today’s recipe is Restaurant Style Chinese Frid Rice. If you wish to make any restaurant-style Chinese. Then the combination of star anise with rice is very famous. So get your star anise and make this recipe that you love the most it is super easy and quick to make.


2 Star Anise

2 and 1/2 cups of rice

1 large size cabbage

2 large-size carrots

1 cup of fresh beans (9-10 french green beans)

1-inch ginger

3 to 4 garlic cloves

2 to 3 tbsp of oil

3 to 4 less spicy green chilies

1 cup of boiled sweet corn blanched

2 tbsp of light soya sauce

1 tbsp of vinegar

2 tbsp of salt

Half tbsp of crushed sugar

1 tbsp of white pepper powder


.Let us start with this Chinese fried rice recipe.


Get 2 and 1/2 cups of rice and transfer into the bowl. Wash the rice 3 to 4 times until the dust rice is completely removed. Then add water to the rice until the rice completely dips into it Keep the rice aside for at least 20 to 30 minutes until you prep the next step.

Take a pot and add 2 to 3-liter water and put it into the flame. Boil the water until the water starts the bubbles then add your 2-star anise into the water for a good aroma. Add 1 tbsp of water into the water then add your soaked 2 and a half cups of basmati rice into it. Cook it nicely because when you make fried rice, the most important thing while cooking fried is the structure of the rice. The structure of your rice should be stiff or else instead of making fried rice you will end up making sticky rice which can not use in fried rice. So be careful about your rice.

Whenever you are making rice then you need to make sure that you let the rice cook for a while in boiling hot water. Then your rice is more elongated and it gives it rise, a jump. That makes you rice longer. Cooked your rice for 5 to 7 minutes and remove the skimmed constantly into the water to get a clean flavor. After that time check the rice if the rice is cooked to 90 to 95 percent then remove it into the flame and stan the remaining water and place it into the plate and spread evenly then keep it aside.


Now take all your veggies and start chopping them. In fried rice carrots and beans are a compulsion while making. First, take 1 large size cabbage and chop them. Take 2 large-size carrots and chop them. Bring 1 cup of fresh beans or you can use frozen beans. Make sure to cut veggies to be rice-sized now take and chopped them. Take 1-inch ginger and 3 to 4 garlic cloves and chopped both of them. It enhances the taste of the rice. Half a bunch of green onion and chopped them is used for garnish add less ginger and more garlic. Make sure you cook it till it is a little brown. Take 3 to 4 less spicy green chilies and chopped them.


Heat up your saucepan and add 2 to 3 tbsp of oil and add your chopped ginger and garlic. Let it toast for a minute once your ginger and garlic are soft then add chopped carrots and saute it for 2 minutes until it becomes a little soft then add 1 cup of boiled sweet corn blanched. If you like corn and saute it then add your chopped cabbage and finely add chopped green chilies.

One of the many advantages of adding cabbage is that since it is high in water so cabbage keeps releasing water. So if the rice or veggies are not cooked properly. Then it will help to cook with the water released by the cabbage. Add 2 tbsp of light soya sauce, 1 tbsp of vinegar, and 1 tbsp of white pepper powder and toast it together on a high flame. Because when you cook Chinese food then cook the food on a high flame and use a thin utensil it. That is the food is actually the foundation and provides it its texture.

Add chopped green beans and make sure to add all green ingredients later to make sure that color does not get affected. Sauteed it for 2 minutes then add the cooked rice that you prepare before. Add a little bit of salt and half a tbsp of crushed sugar, and half a tbsp of vinegar. Cook the rice because it helps to evaporate the soya sauce and caramelize the sugar. The other things that you will add get cooked together so cooking them well is very important. If in any case your rice is not cooked properly then splash the water into the rice and keep cooking it. Now add your chopped spring onions and mix them well and off the flame. Cover the lid of the pan for 3 to 4 minutes. Now your restaurant-style fried rice is ready for serve.


Take a serving plate and transfer your prepared rice into it and garnish it with chopped spring onions. You can also serve this rice with chicken Manchurian or Chicken Shashlik.
